Percy came to us in 2024 at 3 years old. He was very thin when he arrived with us in early summer, but he was very eager to get off the trailer and start eating straight away. This is quite unusual, as pigs don’t generally travel well and can sometimes be very nervous when they arrive.

His coat was dull and sparse. He was used for breeding and he has injured his hip, so was scheduled to be destroyed as he was no longer any use to them.

He permanently walks with a limp but gets around very well. He is very friendly and he loves people. He lays down for belly rubs and enjoys being fussed.

He loves his food and he now lives with Poppy in a big field. They share a bedroom and get on well.

He is one of the most loving pigs there is. He is around 450kg and would sit on your lap if he could.

His coat now, because of a full, varied diet of fruit, veg, flaxseed, coconut oil, vitamins, sow nuts & turmeric, is a vibrant ginger and he looks beautiful and has filled out really well.
