So, as I (Suki) write this, we have 16 pigs, 6 sheep, 3 ducks, 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 tortoises that we care for. It costs around £650 per week to run the sanctuary and 21 stints at around 2 hours each stint. Aaron and I are volunteers on the sanctuary and also have to work. This is super hard, and although we love it, it can take its toll on us. Our family are 3.5 hours drive away and we try to see them once a month.

We rely on the generosity and love of people helping physically, financially and at a distance. We have 3 volunteer administrators and 3 fund aisers, as well as loyal supporters. It takes a village and Aaron and I always say that we are the hands and feet and our volunteers are the body that drives us.
